appointed the recorder for a seven-year term (1 O.L. 136). The office elective
for a three-year term in 1829, a two-year term in 1905, and a four-year term in
1936 (27 O.L. 65; Ohio constitution 1851 Article XVII, section 2; 116 O.L. pt.
ii, 184).
